In the second quarter of 2025, several fast food and fast casual restaurant apps demonstrated varied performance trends on the iOS platform in New Zealand. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps showed dynamic changes in weekly downloads and active users, although none reported weekly revenue.
KFC New Zealand maintained an average weekly download rate of around 2.5K to 3K, peaking at 3.3K in mid-April. Despite the fluctuations in downloads, active users showed a decline from approximately 33.3K at the start of the quarter to 21.1K by the end.
McDonald’s experienced consistent weekly downloads, hovering between 2.1K and 2.7K. Active users remained robust, starting at 136.6K and reaching a high of 149.8K in mid-May before stabilizing at around 131.5K by the end of June.
Pizza Hut New Zealand observed steady downloads, ranging from 1.6K to 2K weekly, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter. Active users also showed stability, with numbers fluctuating between 16.6K and 18.5K throughout the period.
Burger King NZ saw a gradual increase in downloads, starting at 1.1K and peaking at 1.8K in early June. Active users mirrored this trend, beginning at 8.8K and reaching over 10K by the start of June, before seeing a slight decrease towards the quarter's end.
Finally, BurgerFuel VIB Club noted a significant spike in downloads in late May, reaching nearly 3.9K. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 11.2K during the same period before settling back to around 7.3K by the end of June.
